Benefits & Wellbeing 2020+: What do companies offer


Benefits are increasingly making a difference when competing for the best talent in the market. But what benefits do companies actually offer? How are they financed and how well do employees actually know the benefits offered by their employer?


 To get to the bottom of these questions, Mercer conducted a major benefit survey in early summer 2020. In cooperation with Henkel, the company's perspective was examined in a comprehensive study. 130 companies took part in this study and provided information about their benefit offerings, financing and communications. Specifically, benefits relating to financial, physical, social and emotional well-being were examined.

Benefits & Wellbeing 2020+: What do employees want


In cooperation with the market research institute Toluna, Mercer investigated the perspective of 1.000 employees in Germany in regards to benefits: What do they expect from benefits programs? Which benefits do they value the most? And how would they like to stay up-to-date on their benefits?


 The survey was conducted online from May to June 2020. It is representative in terms of age, gender and federal state. Since the survey took place during the restrictions caused by COVID-19, the results already show changed conditions.
